Techies, the wait is over. Apple unveiled the latest smartphone technology Tuesday afternoon with the cheaper iPhone 5C and higher-end 5S.
The 5C is plastic and comes in green, white, blue, pink, and yellow. It’s geared towards first-time users.
The iPhone 5S, priced at $599, promises a faster processor and new fingerprint security feature.
Despite Android users taking over the smartphone market, Ryerson Digital Media Zone’s expert Brennan McEachran predicts the colourful 5C will be the top seller, especially with children.
“Instead of playing on mom and dad’s apps they will be able to have their own phones and make calls as well,” says McEachran.
Both phones will be available for pre-order September 20th in Canada.
