Around campus: What to do September 30-October 6

Need a study break? The Ryersonian brings you a roundup of campus events this week.

For the foodie:

Ryerson Eats is introducing food truck Tuesdays on Gould Street. Stop by between classes for different street meat or finger foods from 11 a.m. and  2 p.m. every Tuesday. This week’s feature: Canada’s only grilled-cheese-exclusive food truck, Gorilla Cheese.

For the spiritual:

Join the RSU’s Sisters in Spirit at their annual vigil this coming Friday evening in support of the families of murdered and missing aboriginal women across Canada.

For the competitive gamer:

The Association of Ryerson Role-players and Gamers is hosting a session of the fantasy role-playing game Pathfinder this Wednesday evening. Contact them to reserve your spot and learn more about the Pathfinder Society.

For the math geek:

Join the Ryerson Faculty of Science as they kick off the Dean’s lecture series. This Thursday evening, learn more about the relationship between math and music and why we love our favourite tunes.

For the budding journalist:

Ryerson’s School of Journalism celebrates its 60th anniversary this Thursday and Friday. There is still time to register for an evening of cocktails and the unveiling of  Ryerson Journalism Wall of Fame.

For the tree-hugger:

Are you curious why some big-box retail stores are more environmentally friendly than others? Attend the big-box retail and the environment lecture this Wednesday afternoon to hear more about public policies and going green in the big box business.
