Kalen Schlatter, facing first-degree murder charge, appears in court

Kalen Schlatter, the Toronto man accused in the murder of Tess Richey, appeared in court briefly Thursday via video. Schlatter was initially charged by Toronto Police with second-degree murder, but Wednesday police upgraded the charge to first-degree murder. His next court appearance is scheduled for April 23 at College Park via video.
