FCAR to hold bake sale at Ryerson for Haiyan relief in Philippines

With the number of dead rising in the Philippines, students at Ryerson University are doing their part to raise money for relief efforts in the areas affected by Typhoon Haiyan.

The Filipino Canadian Association at Ryerson (FCAR) will hold a bake sale Friday at the Student Campus Centre (SCC) from 12-3 p.m. All donations will go to Sagip Migrante, an aid group working in the affected areas.

FCAR is also holding a Filipino Awareness week at Ryerson (FAAR) week starting November 26th. Revenues from that week’s events will once again be donated towards relief efforts.

The group’s marketing director, Brian Tsang, spoke with the RyersonianTV Wednesday.
