Gallery: Ryerson’s Max Dean wins the Governor General’s Award

This week, Max Dean — an Image Arts professor at Ryerson — was one of the eight recipients of this year’s prestigious Governor General’s Awards for Visual and Media Arts. Dean is a multidisciplinary visual artist who lives in Toronto. His work has appeared in the Art Gallery of Ontario and the National Gallery of Canada. In honour of Dean’s big win, we’ve selected eight of his most captivating works.
