With only hours to go until the biggest frosh concert held on Ryerson campus, rumours are swirling: will Drake make an appearance?
Just a few days ago, the Toronto rapper gave a shout-out to Ryerson via Instagram for the back-to-school banner that referenced the rapper’s latest mixtape. The banner that hung over the Student Campus Centre read: “If you’re reading this, it’s your time to lead, welcome Yonge 6 gods”. “The 6” is a term coined by the rapper to refer to Toronto, and Ryerson’s location on Yonge street makes the “Yonge 6 gods” the wordplay to glorify both Drake and new Ryerson students.
Anxious students have taken to Twitter in anticipation of tonight’s concert, many gloating with Ram pride.

The concert is the first time the Ryerson Students’ Union will partner with the Student Association of George Brown College.
Although the Associated Press reported that Drake was spotted at the U.S. Open today watching the women’s semi final, he still has time to fly over.
