Olivia Chow campaigns on Ryerson campus

Toronto mayoral candidate and former MPP Olivia Chow visited Ryerson at noon Friday. She grabbed a hug from president Sheldon Levy and chatted with student journalists.

Chow spoke with the student press after her absence at last week’s mayoral debate on campus. Chow’s digital director said Chow didn’t attend the debate because of a scheduling conflict and “concerns about the moderator’s neutrality.” The moderator of the debate was Ryerson professor Ralph Lean, a well-known Conservative who had promised to fundraise for Ford.
