The provincial government has released its annual list of public sector employees who earned more than $100,000 in 2017.
According to provincial legislation, the “Sunshine” list’s disclosure requirement applies to various public sector workers including those at colleges and universities, school boards, hospitals, crown corporations and provincial ministries.
This year’s list named a number of high-ranking members of Ryerson’s administration.
President and vice-chancellor Mohamed Lachemi earned $410,475.04 with $45,561.52 in taxable benefits. Provost and vice-president, academic Michael Benarroch earned $154,999.98, with $697.90 in taxable benefits. Vice-president, equity Denise O’Neil Green earned $251,258.36 and $6,552.24 in taxable benefits. Vice-president, research and innovation Steven Liss $203,925.03 and $1,223.82 in taxable benefits. Vice-president, university advancement and alumni relations Ian Mishkel earned $128,293.67 and $797.88 in taxable benefits.
