Ryerson alumnus named first female general manager of the CNE

Virginia Ludy, who graduated from Ryerson in 1984, is the first female general manager of the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE).

Ludy attended Ryerson for Geography from 1980 to 1984.

“I believe tremendous opportunities lie ahead for the CNE and I am very excited and honoured to have been appointed to lead the organization in fulfilling the vision established for the event,” Ludy said in a press release from the CNE Wednesday.

She is the CNE’s first female general manager since its creation in 1879.

More to come.
