The Ryerson Rams men’s basketball team announced the recruitment of Ammanuel Diressa over Twitter on Tuesday.
Head coach Roy Rana announced the news on his personal account.

Diressa, 21, played with the NCAA’s Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles for two years after playing at Toronto’s Eastern Commerce Collegiate Institute in high school.
After playing in 28 games in his first year with the Golden Eagles, Diressa averaged 8.8 minutes per game. In 15 games in 2013-14, he shot 37.5 per cent from the field, averaging 2.4 points per game.
The six-foot-four point guard was a force in high school, with 17.3 points per game and helped Eastern Commerce to a south region and city championship in 2011-12.
