UPDATED: Results announced for RSU elections

Rajean Hoilett has been voted Ryerson Students’ Union president for the 2014-2015 school year. Once again, the RSU executive will be fully stacked with members from the same slate.

Hoilett beat runner-up Roble Mohamed by 1,182 votes.

Four of its members who ran unopposed for the vice-president positions have received enough “yes” votes to secure their positions on the executive team.

Unite Ryerson is a new slate with platforms similar to Students United, which has held a stake in the students’ union for more than five years.

The current RSU executives will continue in their roles until the 2013-2014 school year comes to an end April 30. The next executive team will take up their roles in office May 1.

RSU Executives 2014-2015:

President: Rajean Hoilett

Vice-president equity: Pascale Diverlus

Vice-president education: Jesse Root

Vice-president operations: Dora Adobea

Vice-president student life and events: Saphi Subendran
