Toronto celebrated the luck of the Irish Sunday afternoon at the 30th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Yonge Street was a sea of green as Torontonians enjoyed the sunny weather and Celtic music.

After putting on a pair of safety glasses, students were able to get a glimpse of Ryerson’s own smart grid last Friday. The Schneider Electric Smart Grid Lab at the Centre for Urban Energy (CUE) on Dalhousie Street was open to the public as part of a provincewide campaign called “Green Energy Doors Open.”
Students can look forward to the opening of an environmentally friendly learning space this winter, complete with green roofs, a rainwater plumbing system and lots of natural light.
