Ride-sharing service Lyft to take over Toronto

Uber is getting some competition this December.

Lyft, a popular U.S. ride-sharing service, plans to expand north of the border in its first international move. The company has chosen Toronto as its first location outside of the United States.

Licensing committee rejects recommendations to regulate Uber

Taxi drivers and Uber supporters filled Toronto City Hall Tuesday as officials met to discuss regulations for the ride-hailing app, Uber.
