Marriage licences granted in Toronto during COVID-19

Following a precipitous decline in the number of marriage licences granted during the early days of COVID-19, and a significant rise over the summer, last September and October, Toronto couples registered to get married more frequently than during previous years, amid loosened public health restrictions and the beginning of the pandemic's second wave.

Data analyzed on Jan. 15, 2021 from a City of Toronto dataset summarizing the number of marriage licences granted in Toronto per month and year between Jan. 1, 2011 and Jan. 1, 2021.
