As part of the Community Investment Funding program, the City of Toronto offers grants to help achieve social, economic and cultural goals for Toronto residents. Grants are available on a time-limited basis to support new and emerging groups, support sector resilience, and encourage resident engagement and leadership development.

COVID-19 Vaccine Engagement Teams Grant

The COVID-19 Vaccine Engagement Teams Grant was established to fund not-for-profit organizations to play a critical role in increasing residents’ confidence in and access to vaccines across Toronto.

The Expression of Interest for this grant is open to consortiums of community organizations, grassroot groups, resident-led groups and faith-based organizations/groups. Total one-time only funding available from the City of Toronto is $5.5 million.

Community Crisis Response Fund

Financial assistance for general and youth-led projects that address a specific violent crisis in a community and contribute to community healing.

Youth Violence Prevention Grant

Up to three-years of funding for projects aimed at programming responsive to violence prevention and intervention for youth ages 10 to 29.

Neighbourhood Grants

Grants for resident-led groups to help them inspire their neighbourhoods with events or activities and advance key themes in the Toronto Strong Neighbourhoods Strategy 2020.

Community Events

One-time funding to support events and short-term activity series to foster resident engagement, active living and leadership.

Capacity Building Grants

Grants to help build the capacity of not-for-profits to govern effectively, support resident leadership and other capacity building initiatives.

Identify 'N Impact Grants

One-time grants of up to $10,000 for grassroots, youth-led groups to advance the City's Toronto Youth Equity Strategy.
