Get away from studying for midterms by checking out some of these fun events in the city.

1. Buffer Festival

See your favourite YouTubers in person at the annual Buffer Festival. The festival will feature YouTube premiere screenings, red carpet events and award ceremonies.

2. Zombie wrestling

Watch a different type of wrestling this weekend – zombie wrestling. Be prepared for blood and gore at this Rot N’ Rumble battle. This action-packed combat is complete with a VIP meet and greet with the zombie wrestlers along with a kick off party.

3. Pet Cemetery Dance Party

Kick off Halloween a week early by dressing up in one of the easiest classic costumes – a black cat. Finish off the costume with fake blood and you’ll fit right in at the Pet Cemetary x HauntTO Dance Party.

4. Pumpkinland Harvest Festival

Take a trip out of the city and pick a pumpkin at Whittamore’s Farm. Enjoy fall themed activities including wagon rides, mazes and pumpkin-themed activities.

5. Ryerson women’s basketball game

Support and cheer on your Ram’s women’s basketball team as they compete in the Darcel Wright Memorial Classic this weekend.

Location: Mattamy Athletic Centre Date: Oct. 22-23 Time: Varies based on game schedule Cost: Free with OneCard; $10 for non-Ryerson students
