If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would you go? We asked Ryerson students this question and their answers were thoughtful and inspiring.
Reinhardt Gao, first-year, ESL foundation program
“New York – my dream city, you can do anything you want. My second choice would be to go back to my home country China to be with my family.”
Danielle Rocco, second-year, Child and Youth Care
“I really want to go to Japan because my grandmother grew up in Hiroshima and she experienced the Hiroshima bombings that happened. She’s always willing to show me where she lived and the rice fields she lived in.”
Jihwan Kim, first-year, ESL foundation program
“I would travel to Japan because I have been there this past January and I really enjoyed the culture and hot springs so I’d like to go there again.”
Shirley Mei, first-year, Business Management
“Hawaii. It’s known to be warm, I heard it’s fun and known for the beaches.”
Feruza Samson, second-year, Mechanical Engineering
“I would go to Germany. My family is there and I just feel homesick. I came here because there is more education opportunity. Now I am studying Mechanical Engineering and I am in my second year. And there’s so much diversity here too.”
