Despite what some consumers may believe, not all wearable devices have to look like they belong in a science-fiction movie. With the recent wearable technology trend seeing the creation of Google Glass and the Apple Watch, developers are addressing how these devices can become more fashionable and the trends that are influencing them. This panel discussion hosted by Ryerson University’s G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education will focus on the new and exciting trends in the wearable technology space, and the challenges and opportunities taking place in the industry. The panel will feature guest speaker Renn Scott, a strategic designer of over 15 years , and panellists D. Lloyd Gray, an interactive media designer, and Adriana Ieraci, a co-founder of the wearable technology startup Heart to Heart in Ryerson’s Fashion Zone.
The event will take place Jan. 30 at 8:30 a.m. in Heaslip House, 297 Victoria Street, Toronto, ON. Admission is free for all registered attendees.
