Jeremy Pagé wouldn’t be considered your average 19-year-old. The second-year graphic communication management student keeps a 10-year-old box of aging pu-erh tea leaves under his bed, and is known to sip Asian-style brews at least three times a day.
After being introduced to tea at a young age, and recently travelling to Taiwan to research the plant, Pagé plans to bring his tea-expertise to the Ryerson community. By next semester, he hopes to establish an official RSU group dedicated to everything tea-related.
The Ryerson Tea Club Facebook page, which he started earlier this year has garnered nearly 400 likes.
He plans to utilize his contacts in the industry to help him organize events and host guest speakers to facilitate the dialogue and culture surrounding the world’s second most popular drink.
