Black Lives Matter demonstrators rallied at Toronto Police Headquarters on Friday protesting the Special Investigations Unit’s decision to not charge an officer in the death of Andrew Loku last year.
Demonstrators had been camped out in front of police headquarters since March 20. They decided to end their sit-in protest on April 4 after consultations with community members and an impromptu meeting with Premier Kathleen Wynne outside Queen’s Park.
The group said Monday that they have hung a banner outside police headquarters giving local and provincial politicians 300 hours respond to their demands.
