Ryerson’s Mattamy Athletic Centre (MAC) will host basketball legend Yao Ming for the NBA’s Basketball Without Borders Global Camp next month.
The camp kicks off at the MAC on Feb. 12 and is part Part of the NBA All-Star 2016 weekend festivities.
The two NBA stars will lead activities along with Toronto Raptors’ Bruno Caboclo and Bismack Biyombo, Milwaukee Buck and former Raptor Greivis Vásquez and Denver Nuggets forward Danilo Gallinari.
The camp brings together 53 high school-age players from Asia, Africa, Europe and the Americas to work with NBA and the International Basketball Federation, commonly known as FIBA, players and coaches.
The all-star weekend will also include a game between the Ryerson Rams and University of Toronto on the last day, Feb.14 at the Enercare Centre.
