A partial train derailment early this morning shut down parts of Line 2 between Jane and Ossington stations
TTC service on Line 2 has resumed after 100 shuttle buses were ordered this morning when a train derailment shut down service between Jane and Ossington stations, according to a tweet by TTC spokesperson Stuart Green.
“This was a bad morning for our customers travelling into and out of the west end and for that we apologize,” he wrote in a followup tweet.
At about 6 a.m. today, the transit agency tweeted that the train partially derailed at Keele Station. The train was not in service. Green recommended passengers travelling from the west to hop onto GO at Kipling, using their TTC fare.
“Thankfully, subway derailments, even partial ones, are rare, but we commit to finding the root cause to avoid a repeat,” tweeted Green.
