Four buildings on Ryerson’s campus will continue to be temporarily closed on Feb. 1 due to a steam pipe leak, according to an email from the university.
Friday’s classes at the Architecture Building (ARC), Monetary Times (MON), Sally Horsfall Eaton Centre (SHE) and Eric Palin Hall (EPH) have been cancelled. Classes will resume in Kerr Hall East (KHE) on Feb. 1.
The university also advised faculty and staff working at the affected areas to stay at home.
A steam leak in the pipes between Kerr Hall East and the Architecture Building running under Church Street was discovered Wednesday afternoon, resulting in the evacuation of labs on the lower level of Kerr Hall East.
The leak has affected the Architecture Building, Monetary Times, Sally Horsfall Eaton Centre and Eric Palin Hall and caused a power outage in Kerr Hall East.
All other buildings are open and all other classes and programming will run as scheduled.
