Football fans were disappointed at more than just Peyton Manning’s performance during last night’s Super Bowl XLVIII.
This year’s much anticipated TV commercials turned out to be less-than-average. From Ford Motor Company’s two-commercial spectacle featuring James Franco and Rob Riggle, to Maserati’s starring Quvenzhané Wallis, commercials were more confusing than ever.
What didn’t disappoint though was Bruno Mars and Red Hot Chilli Pepper’s halftime performance.
Here are Super Bowl XLVIII’s five most entertaining moments.
1. Bud Light – “Ian up for whatever”
In this four-minute commercial, Ian has an epic night running into celebrities such as Arnold Schwarzenegger. If there’s one person you want to be, it’s this guy.
2. Bruno Mars- Pepsi Halftime Show
Bruno Mars took the stage during the Pepsi Halftime Show dancing and singing his heart out to his hits Locked Out of Heaven, Treasure, Runaway, and Just the Way You Are. The Red Hot Chilli Peppers joined in to perform Give it Away.
3. Dannon Oikos Greek Yogurt- The Spill
Uncle Jesse Katsopolis, Danny Tanner and Joey Gladstone reunite in a hilarious and nostalgic commercial that left us wanting to sing the Beach Boys and watch re-runs of Full House.
4. Budweiser – “Puppy Love”
This is the most popular commercial from Sunday’s Super Bowl on YouTube. It chronicles the love story between a golden retriever puppy and a Clydesdale horse. Bring out the tissue box, this one will melt your heart.

5. Joe Namath’s fur coat
NFL legend Joe Namath had the Twitter-verse spiralling out of control when he showed up wearing a Macklemore-esque oversized fur coat. Wait, or was it the IKEA monkey? Either way, there are already parody accounts (@JoeNamathCoat) set up on Twitter for Broadway Joe.
Here’s what was buzzing on Twitter :
